Live minimalistly and then realize: The fewer things, the happier people are!
“Less” but not extreme, something less in everything, but “less” in the right place, to make life more convenient and streamlined, not minimalist to make yourself increasingly struggling and struggling.
1. Eating less
Eating less does not mean skipping meals, but each meal should not be too full or eat too much, just 7-8 servings is the best state.
Eating less food can both save money and help the body control weight. Furthermore, the spirit is also in a state of “fullness”, full of vitality. You cannot deny the fact that: When hungry or full, the body has the same expression: sluggish, not wanting to do anything, even just wanting to sleep. From then on, work is ineffective and the spirit is not excited.
Especially when you eat too much after work, you really don’t want to move, don’t want to do housework, don’t want to read, write, think…
In this day and age, with social networks taking over, livestreams and eating videos appearing, some people can eat a week’s worth of food, and some people even risk their lives by eating too much.
Of course, eating delicious food and enjoying delicious food is also a type of human happiness. But don’t turn it into “extreme overeating”. If you want to live a minimalist and frugal life, eating a lot is not too suitable. This is completely each person’s choice.
2. Less hoarding
Minimalism must come with a regular cleaning routine.
I don’t know if you have encountered this situation: Every time you clean, you will find some things that are not often used, but it would be a shame to throw them away, but if you keep them, you will definitely never use them.
Some things have never even been opened, such as notebooks, toothbrushes, hygiene products…
The solution for a minimalist life right now is to throw away unnecessary things, or find a way to give them to those who really need them and don’t feel bothered if they use your things. A refined living space should not accumulate too many things, only keep things that can be used to their fullest potential.
The more things you hoard, the more you spend. There are things you keep that are really unnecessary, but when you need them you can’t find them, so you end up throwing them away and wasting money.
3. Less shopping
Shopping here includes going to shopping malls or physical stores, and also the habit of surfing online sales websites.
The more you see, the more you want to buy. The more often that object appears in front of your eyes, the more energy you have. Finally pressed the payment button, the goods arrived without knowing if I really needed it or not.
When you see something you like online, you can apply: First put it in the shopping cart, but don’t pay right away. Leave it for a few days, if you still want to buy it, it’s not too late to pay. Because there are many things we only enjoy temporarily, but after a while the feeling is no longer as intense.
Therefore, before wanting to live a minimalist life and save money, learn how to control yourself.
4. Less making connections
Honestly, people living in this society cannot lack relationships. But perhaps you also have to admit: The more friends and partners you have, the more money it costs.
At this time, knowing how to filter relationships is a smart person. “More friends add more opportunities”, but not all friends are beneficial to us. So “choose friends to play with, quality over quantity”.
Furthermore, the fewer relationships you have, the more time you have to focus on yourself, less entangled in gossip and troubles.
There is an ancient saying: “Less is good, too much is confusing”.
Let’s do subtraction, life is naturally much easier and simpler. Minimalism or frugality, too, must follow one word: Less.
